Hi folks
I was wondering if its normal to have to pump up your tires, when the weather drops down a little cold. My Jeep Compass does it every fall. I just put brand new tires on, so i was expecting this to be a non issue this time around,but alas the low tire pressure light came on the first chilly night.

Yes, that's perfectly normal. Air pressure is directly related to air temperature, so when the temps drop, so does the pressure in your tires.

Yes. Happens on all cars when the weather gets down around freezing. Happens with all brands of cars and tires.

such a pain ! none of them look low, so i just give them all a little shot of air so the indicator light will go out.

Once you do that, you're probably good for the season. I have a Tire Warehouse Store next town over and they don't want customers messing with their air pump, so they'll top off the pressure for free.

It's the aluminum rims. They dont like the cold and I wee bit of air escapes. I carry a air pump just cause I no its gon a happen anytime its sunny and warm during the day and at or under freezing.
