Hey all, currently have a 2010 Jeep compass North 4wd 5speed. I want to install a turbo on my 2.4L . Or either do an engine swap from possibly a Caliber with the turbo? Is that possible ? Could my drivetrain take the turbo? I do have an ACS stage 2 clutch, along with a new flywheel going into it. If i was to just get the turbo, would it go in without very much mods? Or am i better off just buying a 2.4 turbo, also, would it be a direct fit?

Thanks ya'll!~

THe caliber SRT engine is not a direct swap. There have been limited (maybe 3 people) who have done turbo engine builds but its very cost prohibitive. If you have lots of money best bet would be to build up the engine you have. Trans will handle it as long as you don't abuse it

Someone tried it on the Patriot site. They never reported back if the install was successful so I doubt that it was. These things are so computerized it's probably something like an organ rejection.
prolly lost intrest or financing.
These aren't as electrical as you think. Especially the base model manuals. That's why there's so cheap.

Ive been researching this myself. I believe hyundai and mitsubishi has cars that uses the 2.0 and is turbo that could be similar?

Exhuast manifold is the big thing to me. If no matchs, ill be making one.

I think i like my 2.0 5 speed enough to turbo, bought it new. After doing the clutch its scary how similar the motor looks to the neon, stratus, avenger,.pt motor.
. After custimizing quite a few cars if you do your reasearch on the platform theres alot of parts that are crosscompatible or can be with some minor work.
To new for most. And most dont want or like the compass enough to spend the money trying to find out right now. But as more more loose value, hit junk yards, get totaled and broken more and more will tinker, learn, educate others. Until than youll hear, "finacing, go buy a sports car, or aint worth it" not realizing most popular custum cars wernt worth it in the begging.
Dont get me wrong its a lunch box, but im sure something can be done. When there is a will there is a way
