The owners manual says no tyre chains. That isn't going to work. There are paces I go that chains are requires and the state police sets roadblocks to insure people have them installed.

Even on clear days I have gone though check-points just to make sure people have chains with them.

That leads to my question, which tyre chains have people found to work well and not hit car parts?

It really just depends on your tire size. Tire chain manufacturers have sizing guides for their products and they make different styles that have more or less clearance for various applications. If you don't have much clearance the cable type tends to be better in that department but seems like there should be plenty of room, not familiar with the 2014s though.

If you are running 4x4 with good tires (M/S or better) they will probably let you through most places without installing the chains as long as you have them.
