I found a great deal on some 2015 EOM wrangler rims. So good I want them on my 2008 Compass... I know I need a 5x4.5 - 5x5 converter. Any other warnings or stuff you have come across before? I was already in market for new tires so this will be easy 1 and done thing hopefully. Thinking 225/65/17 should still work?

Comments appreciated.

Little taller tire +3/4" radius however it sounds like guys go bigger without lifting. Buyers market steel Wrangler rims, I got 5 new ones bare for $100 with tpms for my Wrangler winters. Spacer bolt pattern converters about $120 US.

The cost of the 5x4.5 to 5x5 adapter might pay off in the long run - there are a lot of JK rims and tires available, new and used. Wranglers nowadays are a fashion statement more than anything and custom rims and wheels seem to be mandatory (rarely see them with mud on 'em though). Anyways yes there are tons of stock wheels and tires available in 5x5.
