Hello all. My 2022 1/2 compass limited, built August 2022, is having battery issues. In about a weeks time, if I don't use it, the remote start feature will not work. Car starts fine from inside the car. I checked the voltage and find it will drop to 12.1 volts. Lowest I've seen is 11.8 volts letting it sit a while longer. I've had dealership check it twice they say nothing wrong other than the batteries needing a good charge. But a week later, I'm at 12.1 volts after they gave both batteries a good charge. As car is still under warranty, I have not tested for a parasitic draw. If there is one it is very very small as it won't totally kill the batteries.
I would think a healthy battery would rest at 12.6 volts or so, even a week later. Anyone experiencing this. There are no trouble codes showing. Thanks.

Hi @rankinrr09,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you return to the dealership and need an extra layer of support, please send us a private message with your VIN.

Apparently not driving and not driving it for long enough can be an issue.

I WFH and then just do short drives infrequently. What was happening is the battery was not getting a chance to cycle and be recharged by the alternator. The keep alive system part of the $&@&& start/stop nonsense pops up briefly every so often and was draining my battery.

This sounds like the most insane response but if I haven’t driven for 4 days I’ll drive a bit farther and watch my battery volts cycle. Since I’ve been doing that no issues.
