How does a vehicle with no signs of damage (accident / water / animals / corrosion etc)electronical components fail, then go through and wipe out every other electronic component in the system? I keep being told from the dealer, once one goes down its like dominos takes out all the rest? this seems like BS but I don't have the knowledge to argue it.

I have a very clean 2001 Compass Trailhawk with about 50k miles with no known preexisting issues. my wife took it on a business trip and parked it for the night. the next morning the car would not respond to anything, key fob, fob touch to start button, door lock, windows, headlights, nothing except a message that said "no key fob detected."

Had 2 locksmiths work on it for 3+ hours and one of them insinuated that she stole it or didn't make the payments. the result was they could not communicate with any part of the cars electronics. Over two days I towed it home. and had the best locksmith in town work on it, again for hours, and he said same thing, zero communication, got no where.

Towed to jeep near a month ago, they said "electronic failures or normal?", estimate about $1800 to repair. as of now they have replaced the RFH, BCM and I believe the PCM and have elevated to a STAR case? not covered by 3/36 warranty!
