Replaced both batteries - still no start

It's brutally cold in the midwest and my little brothers 2019 Compass wouldn't start yesterday. There was still life in the vehicle, but the voltage was low and forums seemed to suggest the batteries so I decided to replace both. I did the work myself and although I'm no mechanic, I work on my own BMW and have replaced dozens of batteries so I feel confident that it was done correctly. Still no start. One weak click and error messages for dynamic steering torque, ESC, and parking brake. Any input on fuses or other things to look at would be greatly appreciated. It has around 80k miles and I believe the AUX battery was replaced in 2020/21, but the main battery was original.

Trickle charge both batteries.... make sure fully charged.

Alternator will not charge easily weak batteries

Change

Mopar 68318616AC Battery Sensor IBS also

Battery Control Unit check all connections and fuses also some battery post (negative) smaller and the IBS sensor does not tighten completely if she needed shim it you can puchase local auto part stores.

Check fuses if you tried jump starting you may have blown some fuses.

Hope this helps.

One more note -- make sure battery you bought is for the stop start -- they have one battery for non-stop start.

I appreciate the info. One thing that felt odd was the aux battery being the same specs, but having a different post. I made it work, but might grab one from Mopar if the voltages are off. I'll update this weekend once the weather warms a bit and I have proper time to test everything.

I was able to get the car running with a jump start last night, but got a sign that said "Stop safely, vehicle will shut off soon" with a battery light and a list of other errors. Didn't want to chance it so it wasn't moved and wouldn't restart without a jump so I dove a little deeper today. Everything was testing fine, but decided to retrace my steps and retightening everything did the trick. It started without a jump and the the error messages went away. The only thing of note is the odometer reset to zero and is now showing only the 17 miles I put on it today. I've never ran into that problem before, but I don't see us ever selling it so if it doesn't relearn itself, I don't plan to fix it. Again, thanks for all the help and info!
