After even more lights started turning on I was worried to even drive my car to an auto store because it kept saying it would shut off, so a buddy who is a mechanic came and took a look at it for me. Turns out my certain make & model (2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk) require their oil changed way more often than most Jeeps and other cars. I was due in about 600 miles for another oil change but the mechanic said most places will tell you to wait until 5000 to get your oil changed, this particular car needs it done every 3,000 miles. He checked my oil level and sure enough it was low (for this model, not for a standard vehicle). A quart of oil was added to test what he thought and every light went away and my car was totally back to normal thankfully! I took it the next day to a Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership to get the oil changed and they actually mentioned without me saying a word that the typical fast oil change places are not giving Jeep owners proper oil maintenance mileage suggestions and I need to come every 3,000 miles. I asked them to run a full diagnostics on it and they said it was all in great shape other than the oil. I expected this to cost more being a bigger dealership but this oil change was about $55 and one from express oil change is $96 for my Jeep! So I’m happy to report back that my issue was completely resolved with an oil change, I hope that’s the case for y’all’s too!
