It seems to be an issue of Waze and the Andriod auto app on the phone. The few times that has happened I have had to reboot my cell phone.

 

They're supposed to issue an update this month for Android Auto that'll fix a number of bugs.

 

Yep it's a Waze/Google issue. It is happening to everyone regardless what car they have..

 

Thanks for the info. I have to restart my phone then it is fine. Will wait for the update.

An awesome in principle navigation app that fails miserably in execution.

It crowdsources traffic and gas prices. However I can not use it on trips longer than 30 miles without in crashing my phone. I use Android and my wife's Iphone has the same problem. While they don't charge for the app I would happily pay 30-50 bucks for a working version.
